Hi there & welcome back to my blog!! I know it’s been a long time (almost 2 years!) and for that, I am truly sorry. First of all, how have you guys been? I know this last year has been extremely difficult for most of us and that 2020 was not the year of partying like Gatsby that we all dreamed of. I hope that if anything, you were able to focus on things that truly matter, such as your physical and mental health, your family, and your friends. This last year it was so easy to get caught up in the negativity of social media, news outlets, prejudice, elections, and everything else we experienced, but I hope that you’ve taken the time to reflect, educate yourself, and grow from this. I know that I’ve faced my own personal challenges and life changes, but I’m hoping that amidst all of that, like me, you’ve found a way to see the silver lining and move forward with life again.
So, I guess the title of this post pretty much speaks for itself, but yeah, here I am, living in the beautiful country of El Salvador. Now, if you would have told me a year ago that this would be my life, I would have never believed you. I guess life has a funny way of working itself out. If you have been following me for some time, you know how much I love to travel, but you may also know how very comfortable I was with my life in Los Angeles. To those of you that don’t know me or are new to my blog, I was born and raised in LA and have never really left other than for vacation. My friends & family are there, I went to school there, my first professional job was there. Giving up that comfortability and stability has been an adjustment to say the least. However, I felt it was time to get out of my comfort zone and embark on a new adventure.
I’ll be posting some of my favorite restaurants, hotels & places to explore while I’m here as well as some tips for moving to a new country, what El Salvador is really like (not what the media portrays) and everything in between! Stay tuned for some fun & exciting content, and as always feel free to leave any comments or questions below! I’m happy to be back & can’t wait to share more!
Congrats on the adventures to come!
