Celebrating Love at the Huntington Library

Good morning & happy Valentine’s week! Valentine’s Day is special to me for a few reasons: one being that I believe in taking every chance I get in this life to celebrate, even if it’s something small, another being that not only is it a day to show Gavin how much I love him, but it can also be a day to show friends, family, and yourself a little love. And to be quite honest, the world could use all the love it can get!

Gavin and I are usually busy during the week and with Valentine’s Day being on a Wednesday, we decided to celebrate a little early since we had all day Sunday together. Gavin surprised me by taking me to the Huntington Library, which if you know me, is one of my all time favorite places to go in Los Angeles. If you haven’t been yet, I highly suggest making the trip out to Pasadena. The best time to go is around Mother’s Day because everything starts to bloom! However, right now it’s Camellia season and if you haven’t seen the Camellias bloom, you’re definitely missing out!

For our romantic date, I decided to channel my inner Audrey and wore a tuxedo shirt as a dress, paired with a belt and some lace up sandals.
