Whats in my Beach Bag

Going to the beach is one of my absolute favorite things to do – Summer or Winter – and quite frankly, it’s one of the only places I go where I don’t over-pack. Everything I bring with me serves it’s specific purpose and is used every time I go. I’m not someone that likes to carry around a heavy bag, so I tend to only pack what I need.

In LA, my beach bag (I use this one) is especially light as I only live about a mile from the beach. However, here in Oahu, I have a few more items just in case we go out to eat or go shopping after.

When I’m packing my beach bag, I start with the more important item first – SPF. My current favorite is this Supergoop! Unseen Sunscreen SPF 40 for my face, and the Supergoop! Antioxidant-Infused Sunscreen Mist with Vitamin C SPF 50 for my body (I also spray a little on my face, just for good measure!). Other items that I pack include my Ouai Wave Spray, a mini portable speaker for music, Evian facial spray, makeup wipes, a mini fan that plugs into my phone, and a good book. The book I’m reading right now is Smart Couples Finish Rich by David Bach.

As for clothes, I like to bring a sandal that can be worn out after the beach (like this one here), a pair of sunglasses, and a sundress that is appropriate to also wear to a restaurant after. I also like to pack a mini toiletry bag that has a travel size deodorant, a change of underwear (in case my suit is still wet) and a small perfume.

For swimsuits, I’m really into sexy one pieces, like this one here or a high-waisted two-piece, like this one here. If I want to dress it up a bit, I’ll wear a gold pendant necklace and my usual rings. If I’m not planning on getting in the ocean, I’ll sometimes add a belt or chain, but typically, I like to keep it casual and effortless.

What do you guys like bringing to the beach? I’d love to hear so feel free to leave me some more ideas in the comments below!
