It’s the holiday season! Who else is as excited as me? I absolutely love the holidays and all of the joy it brings. Every year, I throw my own personal holiday party where all the guest invited join me in donating to Toys for Tots. This year, I also had the opportunity of planning my company’s holiday party as well. December is such a busy month for Gavin and I, so thinking about what I’m going to wear to all of these events can seem a bit daunting. I decided that in order to make it easy on all of us, I would come up with a quick Holiday Party Dress Guide to help take the thinking out of it!
Company Party
For my company’s holiday party, I like to keep things professional, while staying true to my personal style. We do a formal event, so this usually means a long dress in a festive color. Velvet and silk are both still super trendy, so below are some of my favorites!
Family Party
My grandma always has my immediate family over for dinner the week of Christmas. She does her house up so beautifully so I try to dress myself up as well. It’s a bit more casual than my company party, but I like to be festive and I truly feel like she appreciates my effort! (I know my entire outfit isn’t pictured above, but I just realized I didn’t take any pictures of my outfit last year, so here’s one of us at the table.)
Friend Party
Like I mentioned before, every year I throw a holiday party where everyone invited brings a toy to donate to Toys for Tots. I’ve been doing this for about 5 years now and it’s a tradition I hold near and dear to my heart. Since I’m the host, I like to dress up a little. It’s always held at my home, but who says you can’t look fancy AF in your own house? Most of guests, though, rock over-sized knit sweaters (like this one here – you may have seen it pictured in my Chicago post) with cute leggings and heels or something similar. Doesn’t matter as long as we have fun! This year I wore this dress from Express and it’s currently on sale for $41!
