What better way to survive — I mean celebrate—the holidays than with deliciously festive and healthy cocktails? As you may have already read in my Healthy for the Holidays post, I am trying to be good this year and keep my calories to a minimum while still being able to enjoy myself. So in celebration of not gaining 10 pounds this holiday season, I have come up with a list of my top 5 Healthy Holiday cocktails—all of which are under 200 calories!
1 oz Blackberry Whiskey
Splash of Club Soda
Fill a glass with ice, add all ingredients, and stir to combine. Garnish with a cherry.
135 calories per serving
Splash of black raspberry sparkling water
1 oz vodka (I add a 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract)
White nonpareils
Wet the rim of a chilled shot glass, and dip it into a shallow bowl of nonpareils to coat.
Pour in chilled vodka, and top with a splash of black raspberry sparkling water.
90 calories per serving
1 1/2 oz whisky or apple brandy
1 tsp honey
cinnamon stick, star anise, and apple slices
Coat the bottom of a coffee cup with agave, and add whisky or brandy. Then warm crisp apple sparkling water in a small sauce pot, and pour it into the glass. Stir the ingredients, and garnish with cinnamon stick, star anise, and apple slices. 160 calories per serving
CRANBERRY MARGARITA

12 oz lime sparkling water
¼ cup cranberry juice
1 ½ oz tequila
2 T lime juice
Fill your glass with ice. Add cranberry juice, tequila and lime. Fill the rest with lime sparkling water and garnish with cranberries and lime wedges.
120 calories per serving
1 ½ oz vodka with a splash of peppermint extract
¼ oz chocolate liqueur
1 ½ oz black coffee
½ oz unsweetened almond milk
Warm all of the ingredients in a saucepan, and pour into a mug. To make the drink extra festive, garnish with crushed peppermint bark.
