I am one of those people that sometimes bites off more than I can chew. I like to be a good friend, family member, girlfriend, (cat) mom, and co-worker – however, it tends to become overwhelming and stresses me out. A friend and I were recently discussing our goals and how to achieve them, and she mentioned to me that she starts every day with a morning mantra. The term “Mantra” originated in the Hinduism and Buddhism religions as a word or sound that is repeated to aid concentration in meditation. Since it takes merely seconds to say some uplifting and positive words, I thought why not?
Some of the benefits I have personally experienced are:
- increased positive thinking
- calm mind
- increased focus
- increased self-awareness
- lessened anxiety
- empowerment and better mood
Everyone has different experiences and like everything, your level of success is only achieved by the amount of energy you put forth. This was something I was really dedicated to focusing on and I’ve definitely seen an improvement. Below are some positive mantras that helped me and hopefully can help you. Let me know what you think.
