My Every Day Makeup Look

Even though Summer is almost over, I wanted to share with you guys my everyday makeup look that I’ve been using since the end of May/beginning of June but I want to note that even in the Winter months, I tend to go with a more natural look and not wear a whole lot of makeup. This is partially because I think I look crazy with a lot of eye shadow on, and partially because I am not good at applying eye makeup in general. Nevertheless, if you’re like me and don’t like wearing a lot of makeup, or if you’re looking for a more natural look, keep reading.

Primer/SPF

Before I put on my foundation, I always apply a primer. My favorite one at the moment is the Tarte Clean Slate Poreless 12-Hour primer and I mix it with the Arbonne Liquid Sunshine Mineral Sunscreen with an SPF 30. ALWAYS WEAR SPF KIDS. Make sure you mix the two thoroughly and that they sink into your skin before applying your foundation. The great thing about both brands is that they are all natural and cruelty free and by applying a base, it helps your foundation last longer.

Foundation

There have been two foundations I’ve been obsessed with lately and which one I wear depends on the occasion. I know this is my “Every Day Makeup Look,” but I will share both with you because I am so into each. The first one I use is the Urban Decay Naked Skin One & Done Complexion Perfecting cream. This is an oil-free, complexion cream that hides imperfections and evens out your skin tone for a more natural look. This is the one I wear every day to work. I used to LOVE the Too Faced BB Cream but it is now discontinued; *sad face.* The foundation that I will wear at night or for when selfies are involved, is the EX1 Cosmetics Invisiwear Liquid Foundation in F200. This one is great because it gives you more of a matte look while concealing any blemishes or redness and looks great on camera without feeling heavy. It lasts all day long as well, which is definitely a plus for me.

Concealer

Concealer is huge for me, and I am especially picky when it comes to finding the right one for my skin. I like to have that full coverage while still maintaining a natural look. I can’t stand when concealers crease or look too heavy and I found one that I absolutely love. The Maybelline Fit Me concealer (which is a great Nars Creamy Concealer dupe: both mentioned in my concealer review) is so lightweight but it hides dark circles and brightens up the under eye. It is also great for concealing blemishes if needed. You can find this at Target or most drug stores as well as online and it is definitely a must-have for an every day look. To apply, I use a Beauty Blender.

Bronzer/Blush/Highlight

Lately I’ve been into experimenting with Drug Store products and trying to find my followers (and myself) more economical options. Each of these is a drug store product, but I have been really impressed. The Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer is awesome and smells like coconut. It’s hypoallergenic & gives you a tropical glow. To add to the glow, I use the Hard Candy So Baked Bronzer in Tiki which doubles as the perfect highlighter while giving you that naturally dewy look. To finish it off, I add a little bit of the Milani Baked Blush. I use the color Dolce for a soft pink tint.

Eyeliner

I actually just started using eyeliner again and am not sure how I feel about it. Maybe it’ll take some getting used to, but I found a product that is easy to use and defines my eyes while keeping the natural look. The NYX Super Fat Eye Marker is great because it is long-lasting, smudge proof and with it’s wide, felt tip it is designed to release the perfect amount of color. Let me know what you think and if you have any other suggestions as well since I am still new (again) at this!

Brows

For my brows, I like to go with a natural look and to achieve that, I use the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz (you can also use the NYX Micro Brow Pen which is a great dupe). These are great because it has a brow comb and a pen small enough to create natural looking strokes to create a fuller brow without seeming like it’s too much. Once I’m finished, I top it off with the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Gel to hold it all in place.

Lashes

Fortunately for me, I have been blessed with some great lashes, so I don’t use any falsies or have extensions (nor would I know how to apply them if I did), but I am extremely picky about mascara. Even though I have good lashes, I’m naturally blonde so if there’s no mascara on them, they’re practically invisible. I have found only two mascaras that I care for and wouldn’t trade them for the world. The Too Faced Better than Sex mascara is fire. This mascara lasts all day, doesn’t clump, and looks natural while adding length and volume. I have always used the L’Oreal Voluminous mascara and used to swear by it, so this is a more economical runner up.

Lips

I like to wear lighter shades on my lips, especially during the day time and in Summer, so I usually stick to a nude or light pink pallet. My favorites right now are the NYX Slim Lip Pencil in Natural topped with the Nyx Soft Matte Lip Cream in Cairo. If I’m trying to be a little more exciting, I do the NYX Slim Lip Pencil in Flower with the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Sydney. I really like the NYX lip products because they go on so smoothly and they don’t dry out my lips. I recently received the Kylie Lip Kit in Exposed, and to be honest, I grab my NYX products before I reach for any of the designer brands.

The entire look takes me about ten minutes to apply and I am so happy with the result. I hope this helps and if you have any comments or suggestions, leave them below! I love trying new things.
